Urmila
Matondkar, a Gomantak Maratha, is the target of rumor mongers after her marriage with long time boyfriend Mohsin Akhtar. Previously, she was targeted by Congress and AAP supporters. However, currently, she is being maligned by series of fake news by BJP supporters. She has joined Congress and will fight the next Lok Sabha election against hugely popular politician Gopal Shetty.
Urima Matondkar is the Niece of Mohan Bhagwat
For many, Mohan
Bhagwat is currently the most powerful person of India. For others, he is just
a hot headed person wanting to see India as a state exclusively for Hindus.
Coming to the point, posts being shared on social media websites say that
Urmila Matondkar is the niece of Mohan Bhagwat.
There is no
denying that both of them are Marathi Brahmin by caste. But, it should also not
be forgotten that both of them have are no more considers themselves as
Brahmin. Further, there is no proof available which can establish any
relationship – even quite far – between Urmila and Mohan Bhagwat.
No, Urmila
Matondkar is not niece of Mohan Bhagwat. They are not related.
Urmila Has Not Changed Religion Post Marriage
There are also
some posts which say that Urmila Matondkar has changed her religion and has
become Farzana Khan. People of both communities are sharing this news in awe.
And, the rumor of her relationship with RSS Chief only adds spice to this news.
Some are even claiming this to be a perfect case of so called Love Jehad.
Well, changing
religion is a very much personal issue and no one should dictate how Urmila
should live. But, there is also no proof that Urmila has changed religion. And,
this name – Farzana Khan – looks fictitious.
It must be noted
here that Urmila Matondkar married Mohsin Akhtar which was solemnized as per
Hindu rituals. It is very unlikely that she will change her religion. And, if
she does so, it should none of our business to call this a case of love Jehad.
